Why I Create

I’m drawn to stories about resilience, friendship, and the small moments that shape how we see ourselves and the world around us.

I believe the best children’s books leave space for imagination, questions, and children to recognize something of their own experience on the page.

Background

I’m a graphic designer turned author-illustrator with a love for thoughtful storytelling and expressive character work. My background in design informs the way I think about pacing, composition, and the emotional rhythm of a page turn.

My work is inspired in part by my lived experience navigating life as an adult recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. That experience has deepened my interest in themes of invisible strength, routine courage, and the ways families and friends support one another through everyday challenges.
